Dive With Us
The Benefits Of Becoming a B.U.E.C Member
Pool Session once a week for training
Our club is a non-profit organisation, and your further training is subsidized by club fees that are collected throughout the year.
Compared to other diving clubs and diving shops the BUEC cost of training is considerably less. For example, you would only pay for the PADI material you use to complete your course, the actual cost of the training is funded by the club.
A great ongoing social calendar of events both in the UK and dive travel abroad.
Beginners - Come Along and Have a Try Dive
If you’re interested in scuba diving and fancy trying out the sport for the first time, in a calm and safe environment, then come along to one of our regular ‘Try Dive’ evenings. One of our experienced instructors will show you how to assemble the equipment you will be diving with. Once you’re happy with your scuba gear you will move to the pool, then at your own pace you will learn to breathe and swim underwater, alongside your diving instructor.
Encouragement and understanding is the key focus of our training method.
Experienced Divers
We welcome divers qualified from other organisations (e.g. BSAC), or divers who want to restart in the sport after a break, and we can offer cross-over or refresher training to suit.
You’ll see from other pages on this website that we are an active club with a full dive programme, both in the UK and overseas. Currently we have around 35 members, with qualified Instructors. We welcome members with qualifications from all recognised bodies: PADI, SAA, BSAC, CMAS, etc. We can teach all PADI diving grades up to Master Scuba Diver, the highest recreational qualification in sport diving, plus many skill development courses in rescue skills, boat handling and the like.
2025 BUEC Membership Fees:
Adult: £20 per month
Juniors and Students: £15 per month
If you’re interested in finding out more, then a why not contact our membership secretary through the form on this website? You can simply arrange to come along to one of our club nights and have a chat to some of the divers about the club and get an idea of what we do. All new members are welcome, from complete beginners to advanced levels, full training is available.
